Responsibilities and Duties

Essential Duties

• Operate the Roller — using rollers or drums to compact dirt, aggregate, or blacktop top create a smooth surface and specified grading.
• Moving and positioning the machine in response to signal from crew members.
• Establish a rolling pattern and determine the paving width. 
• Take action to avoid potential hazards or obstructions.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED is preferred and one (1) to two (2) years of related experience in these fields
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.
• Candidate must be at least 18 years of age
• Ability to work in a number of diverse locations is pertinent, as work locations may change daily.
• Expected hours: hours will vary by job, location and season.
• Good interpersonal and team building skills
• Must have adequate transportation to work
• Adhere to safety procedures/guidelines at all times
• Punctuality, consistent attendance and self-direction for the success of the operations.
